We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. The Word of God is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man given in the 66 canonical books and is all the Scripture that has been or will be given. The Bible is the divine and final authority for all Christian faith, life, and conduct. (Isaiah 55:11, Matt 5:18, Luke 24:44, John 5:39, 2 Tim 3:16-17, Jude 3, Rev 22:18-19)

2. We believe in one living God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is sovereign, holy, self-existing, all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, never changing. (Ex 3:14, Lev 19:2, Deut 9:4, 1 Sam 16:7, Jer. 23:24, Matt 19:26, Matt. 28:20, Acts 15:18, Acts 17:25, Rom 8:28, 1 Tim 1:17, , Heb 13:8, James 1:17)

3. We believe Jesus Christ, without any change in His eternal Deity, became man through conception by the Holy Spirit and virgin birth. Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, died on the cross, a complete and perfect sacrifice in our stead and for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where at the right hand of God He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Is 7:14; 9:6, Matt 9:2, John 1:1-2, John 3:16, Rom 4:25, 1 Cor 15:3-4, 2 Cor 5:20-21, Col 1:16, Heb 7:26, 1 John 2:1-2)

4. That Satan, the devil, a fallen angel, is a personal being who fell into sin and is the author of sin and is destined to eternal justice in the lake of fire by the judgment of God. He is ruling in this world for a time with his fallen angels, as God allows, and stands to accuse believers before the Father. (Is 14, Ez 28:17, Matt 25:41, 1 Tim 3:6, 1 Pet 5:8, Jude 6, Rev 12:4; 10; 20:10)

5. We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, has the ministry to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict of sin and regenerate the sinner upon believing in Christ. The Holy Spirit is as the Father and Son-eternal, ever-present, a part of creation, and a part of giving us the Bible. At the time of regeneration, the Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into the one body of which Christ is the head, and He is to indwell, guide, instruct, fill and empower the believer for godly living and service. (Job 33:4, Ps 139:7-10, Matt 28:19, John 14:26, John 16:7-11; 14 1 Cor. 12:12-13, Eph. 4:30; 5:18, 2 Thes 2:7, Titus 3:5, Heb 9:14, 2 Pet 1:21,

6. Man was directly created by God in His own image and fell into sin, sentencing mankind to eternal separation from God in eternal torment, and subjecting the world and man to physical and spiritual death. Death is not annihilation. The entire human race is therefore lost and only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, with the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. Man was created with the ultimate purpose to glorify God, and our lives are to be lived for Him. (Gen 1:26-27; 2:16-17, John 3:16, Rom 3:9-10; 5:11-13; 6:23, Eph. 2:2, 2 Thes 5:23)

7. We believe the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground of justification and salvation for all who believe. We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin. Man is given free will and is given the choice to choose to receive Jesus Christ by personal faith. Once anyone accepts Jesus as Savior, they are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God, saved from eternal death and separation. (Ecc 7:20, John 3:16; 8:44, Rom 3:10; 23; 6:23; 9:22-24, 1 Cor 15:3-4, 2 Cor. 5:18, Eph. 2:1-2; 8-9, Col 1:13-14, Heb 2:10, Rev 20:10,

8. We believe in the personal premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ, not submitting believers to judgment. This is called the Rapture, and this blessed hope has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (John 14:1-3, 2 Cor 5:10, Phil 2:15-16, 1 Thes 1:9-10; 4:15; 5:2, Titus 2:13 Rev 3:3)

9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting and conscious punishment. (Matt 25:33-41; 46, 2 Cor 5:10, 2 Pet 3:7, Rev. 20:11-15)

10. We believe the Church is composed of all such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. The Church is the bride of Christ and has not replaced Israel as His chosen people. The Church is called to be set apart from the world, and go through sanctification in their living for God. (Rom 11; 12:1-2, 1 Cor 4:2, 2 Cor 5:19-20, Eph. 3:1-12, Phil 4:6, Heb 12:1-2,)

11. We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this present age; they are however not to be regarded as means of salvation. (Matt 28:19-20, Acts 20:7, 1 Cor 11)

12. We believe in the eternal security of the truly born again believer whose assurance is based on the promise of God found in His written Word-the Bible. This is further defined that according to the Scriptures the soul who has once trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior has eternal life and can by no means lose his salvation. The believer possesses an unchanging security because no created being (not even the devil nor the believer himself) can take his salvation from him and God will not, and because God has promised and He cannot lie. (John 3:16, Rom 1:18-20; 8:23, 2 Cor 5:17-18, 20-21, Eph. 2:8-9, Col 1:13-14)

13. We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as will honor and glorify and not bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord, and that it is commanded of God to remain separate from false doctrines and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations. We are taught that we have been made new and are to put on the character of Christ as we live as His witnesses. (1 Cor 12:1-2, 2 Cor 5:17, Gal 5:16-17; 22-23, Eph 2:10; 4; 5:9, Phil 2:5-16, Col 3, 1 John 1:8-9)

14. We believe the sign gifts such as speaking in tongues, miracles, interpretation of tongues, and healing have ceased. We do believe that God does miracles today at His discretion. (Is 28:11-12, 1 Cor 13:8; 14:1-3, 22, 2 Cor 2:12, Heb 2:4)

15. We believe that God, in His Creation and wisdom, created two genders-male and female-in His image. We believe Scripture teaches that only these two exist and anything contrary, or any rejection of one’s biological sex, is a defiant rejection of the image of God in each person. (Gen 1:26-27; 31)

16. We believe marriage to be defined in God’s Word as the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union. We believe that God intended, as the author of intimacy, that sexual intimacy occur only between one man and one woman who are married. (1 Cor 6:18, 7:2-5, Heb 13:4)

17. A biblical view of sexual purity is the standard of Camp Witness. Biblical sexual intimacy can only be expressed between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. Any expression of sexual intimacy, including sexual immorality, outside of marriage or between individuals of like gender is outside God’s standards. (Gen 2:18-25, Matt 15:18-20; 19:5, Rom 1:26-27, 1 Cor 6:9-10)

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Purpose Statement

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

To glorify God in everything we do.

To represent Jesus Christ to the world by presenting sound Biblical salvation for the unsaved, and providing spiritual nurturing for Christians.

To be oriented to the needs of people, both young and old, and to serve them as effectively as possible.

To promote spiritual fellowship among God’s people of like faith and purpose.

To provide a learning center for individuals interested in gaining knowledge and developing various skills to equip them to become more effective servants of Jesus Christ.

To encourage prayer and Bible study in the home.

To be a branch ministry of the local evangelical churches with intentions of directing people back to local Bible preaching churches.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]1.
