Once anyone accepts Jesus as Savior, they are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God, saved from eternal death and separation. 12. We believe in the eternal security of the truly born again believer whose assurance is based on the promise of God found in His written Word-the Bible. The believer possesses an unchanging security because no created being (not even the devil nor the believer himself) can take his salvation from him and God will not, and because God has promised and He cannot lie.
